UV Curable Resins and Materials > Topics > About Acrylate
→ Acrylates are material that have acryloyl group (CH2=CHCOO) which shows a radical polymerization reactivity. There are various acrylate resins with skeletons such as urethane, ether, ester, epoxy, acrylic and silicone.
→ Epoxy acrylate is synthesized by adding acrylic acid to glycidyl ether. It has good heat resistance, chemical resistance, high hardness, and adhesiveness. it also has alkaline developing ability.
→ Urethane acrylate is synthesized by addition reaction of polyols, diisocyanates, and acylates with hydroxyl groups. Urethane acrylates have good UV curability, and their cured products have good toughness, flexibility, and durability.
→ There are many types of polyester acrylates, including bifunctional and multifunctional types. Bifunctional types low viscosity, and multifunctional types have rapid curability, high gross, high hardness, and heat resistance.
→ Acrylic acrylate is an acrylic polymer made bay copolymerizing acrylic and vinyl monomers. It is used for decorative firms and optical films.
